PEEP 2017 Application

Thank you for your interest in the Penn Early Exploration Program (PEEP).  In this selective fly-in program, we are specifically seeking high school seniors who are from low-socioeconomic backgrounds and/or historically underrepresented groups, including African-American, Latinx, Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian.  Interested students from other backgrounds are welcome to apply.  The ideal candidates would be those who are academically high achieving, have demonstrated leadership, and are interested in studying the liberal arts, business, engineering, and/or nursing.  PEEP will be held from Sunday, October 8- Tuesday, October 10, 2017.

Please note that you will not be able to save and return to this form. All materials must be submitted to be considered for the program. It is recommended that you preview the application and prepare your essays on a word processor, such as Microsoft Word, save them, and then copy and paste them into the text boxes in the application.

Deadline:  Student materials must be submitted by Friday, September 8, 2017, 11:59 pm ET. The Letter of Recommendation is due by Monday, September 11, 2017, 5:00 pm ET.
 

UPDATE 9.6.17

Deadline extension for SE Texas and Florida students affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma:

We have extended the PEEP application deadline for students who live in these regions to Wednesday, September 13, and the letter of recommendation deadline to Thursday, September 14. Please contact us if you have any additional questions or concerns.

 

To students and schools in Florida: we know that all schools have now been closed. Please take care and stay safe – you are all in our thoughts.

 

To students and schools in Southeast Texas who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey, we know that many schools in the affected areas were closed until after Labor Day. Our thoughts and hearts are with you as you continue to deal with the impact of this disaster.
